Summer Term 2008 ~ Second Half Term: Culture & Beliefs Module 2: Distinct Cultural Characteristics - Case Studies of Italians in Bedford; The Amish; Plains Indians.  Investigation of a cultural moral issue - Abortion.

Autumn Term 2007 ~ First Half Term: Module 5: Prejudice and Persecution - Nazi Germany Case Study exploring the steps from prejudice to persecution.  Coursework Assessment - Hitler's Rise to power. 

Autumn Term 2007 ~ Second Half Term: Module 5: Prejudice and Persecution (cont'd)Examination of the impact of prejudice at individual, community and global levels i.e. UK case study Assylum seekers; The Holocaust . Preparation for Mocks - Pre-released source work and revision.

Spring Term 2008 ~ First Half Term: Module 6: Environmental Issues: Introduction to the key threats to the environment through case studies - Global Warming; Energy Gap; Endangered Species and Scare resources.  Each case study will look at the causes, effects and possible solutions.

Spring Term 2008 ~ Second Half Term: Module 6: Environmental Issues (cont'd): Attitudes and Actions - case studies showing the variety of responses to environmental issues - e.g. Kyoto Protocol; Carbon offsetting; Environmental Pressure groups and individual actions to reduce carbon footprint.  Exam Preparation - Work on pre-release sources from exam board.
