Autumn Term 2007 ~ Second Half Term: Stanislavski: Students will learn about the work of the Drama Practitioner Stanislavski. They will learn about Naturalistic drama and Stanislavki's system for actors
Spring Term 2008 ~ First Half Term: Storytelling: Students will learn about different methods of story telling focusing on plot, narration and dramatic structure
Spring Term 2008 ~ Second Half Term: Script Work: Students will learn to work with scripts including blocking, line learning, stage directions and rehearsal exercises.
Summer Term 2008 ~ First Half Term: Technical Theatre & Improvisation: Students will practice improvisation skills. They will also be introduced to using lights, sound, props etc within their work

Autumn Term 2007 ~ First Half Term: Me Myself and I : Introduction to thinking toolkit - MI profiling; Brain Dominance; Memory aids; Mindmapping; Thinking Hats and PNI. Students to use tools to create 'Mysterious Me' exhibit.
Autumn Term 2007 ~ Second Half Term: Celebrations: Investigation of the nature of celebrations. Case Study of Remebrance - Private Peaceful Literacy input; assembly recipe and review. Students will devise and develop a presentation/assembly around the theme of a cultural festival/celebration happening. Students will peer review assembly against their original perfect recipe for an assembly.
Spring Term 2008 ~ First Half Term: Module 2 - Time Capsule: The Age of the Earth: an investigation of the concept and nature of time. Explored through: theories about the age of the earth; the Pangea process; the varieties and methods of calandars used by humans past and present. Students will also be allowed to think imaginatively about the concept of time by writing a short story about time travel - 'Johnny and the bomb' is used a stimulus for this.
Spring Term 2008 ~ Second Half Term: Moving on: this topic explores the themes of rights of passage and aspirations for the future. Students find out about the nature of age laws and the concepts of right and responsibility. They are also asked to speculate on where they might be in 5 to 10 years time they write a ROA personal statement as if they have reached Y11 and then they write a contribution for a class reunion update explaining what they became in their adult life.
